Believers are not immune to the troubles and stresses of life. At times the trials may feel overpowering as David expressed in Psalm 69:2, “…I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.” Thankfully, Jesus invites those in need to come to Him for help (Hebrews 4:16). One source of the Lord’s help is biblical counseling provided by the staff of Crossway. With a firm conviction that the Bible is the life-changing word of God, Crossway ministers are available for compassionate, prayerful help to those in need.
At times, more intensive help is needed and Crossway partners with trained Christian counselors to ensure members have the best help available. These local agencies provide counseling services ranging from marriage conflict to parent/child relationships to personal issues.
Premarital Counseling
Every year we see many failed marriages and it breaks our heart. Outside of knowing Christ as your personal Savior, the second most important decision you’ll ever make is choosing the right mate. In this culture that lacks commitment, premarital counseling is a vital step in every young couple’s journey to the wedding altar. That’s why we require every engaged couple to attend premarital counseling if they wish for a Crossway minister to perform their wedding. Support and Recovery
“…Better is a neighbor that is near than a brother far off,” said Solomon. This wise man’s observation is still true today—sometimes the greatest help in time of need is a neighbor, friend, or caring group to draw near for strength. Crossway's GriefShare support group offers help and hope for both Crossway members and the outside community who are struggling with the loss of a loved one. Through the 13 week video seminar, group members learn how to cope with life-changing loss and find encouragement through the Lord and others.
Sometimes the help needed is not for a broken heart, but for a broken life—broken by drugs, alcohol, crime, or destructive life choices. Crossway supports Freeway Ministries, a local recovery ministry that helps people rebuild their lives on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ and His gospel.

Pastoral Care
Crossway pastoral care ministry provides help and support to the Crossway family during times of crisis through prayer support, visits during hospitalization, and pastoral counseling. The pastoral care ministry seeks to fulfill the Lord’s command in Romans 12:15, “Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.”
